Instant Replay Sports officially opened its doors in April 2006 with two retail locations and online stores on eBay, Amazon, and Walmart. From day one, our mission has been simple: provide customers with a great selection of brand-name, quality new and pre-owned sporting goods and clothing at affordable prices.
We believe the cost of equipment should never prevent someone from participating in the sport or activity they love. By offering a wide selection of pre-owned equipment alongside great deals on new products, we work hard to make sports and recreation accessible to everyone.
With more than 40 years of combined experience in the sporting goods industry, our team brings extensive product knowledge and a genuine commitment to customer service. Whether you shop with us in one of our stores or online, our knowledgeable staff is ready to answer your questions, help you find the right equipment, and make sure you get the products that best fit your needs.
Since opening in 2006, we have continued to grow our selection of both new and pre-owned equipment and expand our online presence. In July 2026, we took another exciting step forward by opening the doors to our new location at Triphammer Marketplace, conveniently located near Advantage Sport & Fitness.
Our new location gives us the space and resources to better serve our growing retail and online customer base while continuing to offer the value, selection, expertise, and personal service that have been at the heart of Instant Replay Sports since day one.

In December 2004, the family-owned 13-store sporting goods company I had worked for nearly 18 years, Klein’s All-Sports, announced that it would be closing all of its stores in February 2005 after liquidating its merchandise. I knew my management position with the company would soon no longer be an option.
I have always loved the sporting goods industry, and after spending the majority of my working life in the business, continuing in this industry felt like the natural path. In April 2006, I took over the operation of Instant Replay Sports with a clear vision: serve the local sporting community while building a business that could reach customers anywhere in the world.
There was a strong local need for quality, affordable sporting goods in Ithaca, and I was committed to serving our community through our retail stores. At the same time, I recognized the tremendous opportunity of online sales and set out to learn everything I could about selling and shipping sporting goods online. Today, our business has grown into three operations, supported by five full-time team members and four to six part-time team members who are committed to meeting your sporting goods needs.
Our growth over the years has been built on the same principles that guided us from the beginning: providing quality products, offering great value, and treating our customers the way we would want to be treated.
